Random December Shots

Christmas Closeup
macro focus stack shot from Christmas 2019

Break on Through
Pano shot from BX Falls, Vernon BC Dec 24 2020, where it was close to being the shortest day of the year. Light managed to "break on through" in the afternoon to allow for this shot and I managed to "break through" the ice. Good thing it was only about a foot deep

Amped Up
macro focus stack shot of the tubes from my Fender Blues Junior guitar amp

Amped Up
macro focus stack shot of the tubes from my Fender Blues Junior guitar amp...in color. The tube amp emits a warmer tone than the widely used solid state amp, an is preferred by many guitar players

Solid Shot
another macro focus stack shot. This is just a concrete cast of a Minolta camera I bought for an ornament last year. Makes a great subject

another macro focus stack shot. This is just a concrete cast of a Minolta camera I bought for an ornament last year. Makes a great subject...in color of course!

Too Much Information
This shot reflects how I feel about technology these days. Sometimes it makes life easier, sometimes its just too much information. Inspired by a song with the same title by The Police from Ghost in the Machine.

Grey December day needs some light and color...

Wee Sandy Creek
Took this shot after a kayak across Slocan Lake from Rosebury BC, followed by a hike up in Valhalla Provincial Park. The landing point for the water trip is called Wee Sandy Beach. Take the trail up and you will see many spots like this

Social Distancing at the Bridge in Yoho

Social Distancing at the Bridge
This next group of shots is from Yoho National Park at the Natural Bridge. Because they were shot in winter, the natural light was hit and miss. With some good timing and the help of Lightroom, I was able to get these
